Saratoga have events going on all the time. I took the time to look up some of things happening this weekend and wanted to share them with you all.
This weekend is an exciting weekend for most people in Upstate New York. We have Dave Matthews Band coming in to town for their annual SPAC concert! They will be playing Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. They will be playing an acoustic and electric set. I've never been to one of these concerts but I hear they always put on an amazing show. Make sure you go check it out! There is also an event going on Saturday morning, May 31st, that I just read about recently. There is a Pilates class going on at 10 a.m. called "Pilates for a Purpose". It is a 50 minute class for all levels. There is no fee but they are accepting donations for a non-profit organization called Jake's Help From Heaven. This is a non profit foundation dedicated to supporting individuals with multiple challenges and disabilities. Another event this weekend is the Oklahoma Training Track Tour. This takes place on Sunday, June 1st at 8:30 a.m. This is a walking tour that takes place on the beautiful and historic site across the street from the Saratoga Race Course and covers about 1 mile and lasts for 1.5 hours. It is $10 for non-members and $5 for members. If you purchase these tickets for the tour, it gives you admission to the Museum after the tour. You must be 10 years old or older to do this. The last event I saw that looks fun, as a mother myself, is the Cantina Kids Fun Run on Sunday, June 1st. This is presented by Millennium Medical Imaging and Saratoga Eagle Sales and Service. This is happening at Congress Park near the Carousel. Kids up to 12 years old are welcome and you can choose between a 1/4 mile course or a 1 mile course. Strollers are welcome! Medals will be given to all runners up to age 12. There will be a bounce house, face painting and healthy snacks. This costs $20 per runner and registration will begin at 8 a.m. This sounds like a blast, if you have children then please make sure to go check this out. Don't forget to stop by the amazing Farmers Market every Saturday 9-1, Sunday from 10-3 and Wednesday 3-6! A great idea, that I personally have done before, is to grab some goods from the Farmers Market and head down to the Saratoga State Park and have a picnic. They also have tennis courts, hiking trails and swimming pools. The weather has been iffy lately so make sure you take advantage of these nice days!
