Saratoga have events going on all the time. I took the time to look up some of things happening this weekend and wanted to share them with you all.
This weekend is an exciting weekend for most people in Upstate New York.
We have Dave Matthews Band coming in to town for their annual SPAC concert! They will be playing Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. They will be playing an acoustic and electric set. I've never been to one of these concerts but I hear they always put on an amazing show. Make sure you go check it out!
There is also an event going on Saturday morning, May 31st, that I just read about recently.
There is a Pilates class going on at 10 a.m. called "Pilates for a Purpose". It is a 50 minute class for all levels. There is no fee but they are accepting donations for a non-profit organization called Jake's Help From Heaven. This is a non profit foundation dedicated to supporting individuals with multiple challenges and disabilities.
Another event this weekend is the Oklahoma Training Track Tour. This takes place on Sunday, June 1st at 8:30 a.m. This is a walking tour that takes place on the beautiful and historic site across the street from the Saratoga Race Course and covers about 1 mile and lasts for 1.5 hours. It is $10 for non-members and $5 for members. If you purchase these tickets for the tour, it gives you admission to the Museum after the tour. You must be 10 years old or older to do this.
The last event I saw that looks fun, as a mother myself, is the Cantina Kids Fun Run on Sunday, June 1st. This is presented by Millennium Medical Imaging and Saratoga Eagle Sales and Service. This is happening at Congress Park near the Carousel. Kids up to 12 years old are welcome and you can choose between a 1/4 mile course or a 1 mile course. Strollers are welcome! Medals will be given to all runners up to age 12. There will be a bounce house, face painting and healthy snacks. This costs $20 per runner and registration will begin at 8 a.m. This sounds like a blast, if you have children then please make sure to go check this out.
Don't forget to stop by the amazing Farmers Market every Saturday 9-1, Sunday from 10-3 and Wednesday 3-6!
A great idea, that I personally have done before, is to grab some goods from the Farmers Market and head down to the Saratoga State Park and have a picnic. They also have tennis courts, hiking trails and swimming pools. The weather has been iffy lately so make sure you take advantage of these nice days!
I wanted to take the time to let everybody know what is going on in the store lately.
This time of year, once it starts becoming warmer outside, Saratoga starts to get really busy. Since the town becomes more busy, the coffee shop does as well. We are open until 9 o'clock at night so make sure you come in for a sandwich for a later snack.
Every year we have big concerts that come to SPAC and crowd the town, which is always exciting. This coming up weekend we have Dave Matthews coming to town!
If you have been to the store before then you know that we have artwork on the walls with a different artist every month. The month of June, we will be having our dear ex-employee Abbey Saunders displaying her incredible artwork for us all to see. Don't forget to come in and check that out.
We also starts to do weekly specials in our emails. Every week we will be doing a drink special and a food special. Make sure you are signed up for our email list to get the first know on all the exciting specials and events.
We also have a new logo on all of our coffee bags and for the store in general.
Speaking of new things, the most exciting news of all is that we have new cups coming in!
Our first mug will be really cool mason jars with lids on them and our logo on the front.
We also have a special mug being handcrafted by Deneen Pottery. They are going to come out so amazing and the picture below are the mugs in the process of being glazed and put back in the kiln.
Both of these mugs will be available in June, so keep a look out on when they come in, they will be flying off the shelves!
This weeks blog is about different types of coffee roasts.
