Great place to get your coffee! Came all the way from Pennsylvania to get my Death Wish Coffee fix.

Nathan Detweiler reviewed Saratoga Coffee Traders — 5 starFebruary 7 at 11:25am ·
Best coffee and coffee shop in Saratoga Springs and the contiguous USA;-) Great staff too. Wonderful.

January 13 · I️ just got a free sample of Hazelnut coffee in the mail and IMMEDIATELY made a pot. I️ already drink Valhalla Java every single day, and I️ love the barrel aged pumpkin spice. This hazelnut did not disappoint either!! Very good flavor, and absolutely no bitterness!

August 18, 2017 · Loving this months photography hanging on the walls . Very affordable.
It's so cool how SCT supports the arts.
I know how most everyone loves the Death wish coffee. I however, Would rather enjoy an iced specialty drink if I had a wish. So far the s'mores latte is running in first place followed by framboise and running a close third is the French toast latte! All are so delicious! I'm debating on trying all the drinks on the menu.
(Not in one day) I think it's one of my better goals!
Any recommendations on my next flavor?

Nicest people, greatest coffee, and an easy place to relax and write when I need a break from the home office. You always feel welcome at Coffee Traders.

They make a mean mocha latte. Friendly staff, and cozy seating (although not too much of it). Was looking for a change to uncommon grounds. Found it! Great coffee, nice servers, good variety of coffee. Did not try the food. This review is for coffee and atmosphere only.

"The stakes are high"
Reviewed December 30, 2013
"I like coffee.  In Saratoga the stakes are very high.  Without stretching, I can think of seven spots where coffee is the issue.  Five of them are local businesses, one being the local place to be gather over a cup.  However, almost directly across the street one finds Saratoga Coffee Traders.  It has a lot going for it.: comfortable tables and chairs, good indie music, fine breakfast and lunch items, and, most importantly, very good organic, free-trade coffee.  They purchase the beans roasted (clearly by professionals), and, therefore, the quality of the coffee is consistent and excellent.  The staff is welcoming, prompt, and fun to chat with - no bored stares and mindless service here.

I've found my way the Saratoga Coffee Traders and am locking on for guaranteed satisfaction." ~~Stanley M.

“Nice, local coffee shop”

The coffee was really nice here. They make little egg sandwiches and wraps. The decor isn't much, but nice place for a good cup of coffee in the morning.

“Amazing Cappuccino”
Reviewed November 25, 2013
The largest organic cappuccino for $3. It was so frothy, I thought they put whipped cream on top, but to my surprise, only almond milk was used! Looks like they have fun organic sandwiches too.

“Yum! Apple pie latte!”

Great breakfast sandwiches (one of the best English muffins I have ever had). A lot of beverages to choose from. They even had almond milk. We will definitely be going back! -- Christina D. Grafton, MA

Great coffee - real coffee, I don't do "coffee drinks", so can't speak to those. I stop whenever I'm in Saratoga. This is far above the standard Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, both of which I also drink, but if given a choice I'll take this place every time. --John L Toms River, NJ

I travel all over the world... This is my favorite place to be... Sitting outside at Saratoga coffee traders! They have the best coffee, great food and the most amazing atmosphere... I love it! --Lauren T. Louisville, KY

Huge fan. Not only do they have the best coffee, the freshest food, and coolest baristas..they have an awesome atmosphere. I'm a huge fan of their coffee and their brand new version of the single serve cups for my keurig. Great for the environment.. they are 100% recyclable. I like that I can take them with me when I'm at the office or when I travel. Did I mention they taste a 100 times better than the ones you buy in the store? They hold more coffee too. I'm sold. I love this place. --Billy Albany, NY

Saratoga's Best Kept Secret
I can't say enough about this little shop in the heart of Saratoga. Very good coffee that is all fair trade and organic. I love the staff and the fact that they allow me to bring in my dog and always have a treat for him. The atmosphere is very appealing and they have the best candy store hidden in the back. --Ben

Morning talk show abuzz over Saratoga Coffee Traders
By David Lombardo
Thursday, March 21, 2013
"How big a buzz are you getting from your morning coffee?"
That's the question ABC's Good Morning America host Robin Roberts posed this morning in a segment about Saratoga Coffee Traders' high-caffeine Death Wish Coffee. Watch the segment HERE.
The coffee was highlighted as the world's strongest coffee, offering twice the punch of a normal cup.
A reporter for the morning show raised the question whether or not the coffee is safe to drink. In a voice over, the reporter says, "Right now a 16-ounce monster energy can has about 160 milligrams of caffeine. Sixteen ounces of starbucks coffee, about 330 milligrams. But the same amount of death wish coffee, about 660 milligrams of caffeine."
Dr. Richard Besser, who works for ABC News, said in the segment that someone who drinks coffee all the time probably won't notice the caffeine boost.
Only the coffee beans are available at Saratoga Coffee Traders, which is located on Broadway in Saratoga Springs.

"Try the Nutty Professor Latte!  Also, good day time vibe to do reading, emails and enjoy a beverage!" --Carolyn W, Sherman Oaks, CA

"Was in Saratoga, looking for a place for a quick bite. Had a great Panini and an Ice Coffee, both were excellent. Place had music going and nice people working. Exactly what I was looking for. They also had games, you could play, and a lot of Candy, good for kids or a sweet tooth. Looked like a nice hangout place." --Russ P, NY NY

" My lovely lady and I frequent Traders pretty often. We love playing board games in the chill atmosphere and enjoy their products. Try the mocha and you won't be dissatisfied!" --Eric T, Saratoga Springs NY

"Great coffee, wraps and salads. Its the best kept secret on Broadway!" Deb E, Ballston Lake NY

"Their coffee is consistently good. It's organic and fair trade. The iced coffee saved my life EVERYDAY before waitressing shifts last summer. Their wraps are delicious. They give you MARYJANES!!! The service has always been really polite and attentive when I go in. This is the ONLY coffee shop in town that I go to. Keep it up!" --Kayla C, Saratoga Springs NY

“Good Coffee and Friendly ambiance”
"Yesterday, Me and my wife were wandering through the Saratoga Broadway and decided to go in for a coffee and a bite. We liked the look of the place and stepped in around 5PM. The service was very good and the staff friendly. I got an extra refill for my mug of tea. Being a vegetarian I always have trouble identifying good fresh food. This place was definitely a find. We ordered a Veg Wrap & a Panini, both were really good and fresh. You could get the crispy freshness along with the juices from the perfectly chosen dressings.
I would recommend it for the casual traveler." --Ramanathan999, Amsterdam The Netherlands

“Serendipity in Saratoga Springs NY”
"So, I'm on Broadway, the main street in Saratoga Springs (AKA Saratoga) after a long travel day and I ask a fellow sidewalk wanderer where I might get a good cup of soup. He smiles broadly and points over his shoulder to Saratoga Coffee Traders (SCT) just down the block: Excellent soup; excellent coffee, he says. The cook (owner too?) tells me about the three soups he's made from scratch, including a tomato/basil, my first choice. I ask for his recommendation for a go-with fill-my-tummy item and he whips up a grilled cheese sandwich. The soup and sandwich are superb - hot, fresh, tasty. We get into a conversation that spirals deeply into some shared interests - adding even more zest to my delightful late-night comfort food.  The next morning, on my way to a meeting at the New York State Military Museum nearby, I dash into the Coffee Traders for a dark-bold coffee. One sip...mmmm. So good! Make that excellent - bold but not knock off your socks strength; delightful smooth finish. I buy a refill for my stroll to the museum, wishing I could purchase a gallon to take home. My visits were short, but my memories of a perfect cup of coffee will be long. SCT has a website worth visiting, by the way." --Seaurchin1, Mid-Atlantic

“Great place”
"Coffee Traders is a great place to spend time with family and friends...relax, and enjoy a great cup of coffee, with some good food. The owners and staff are great!"

“Terrific coffee/food cafe”
"Real nice coffee cafe in downtown Saratoga Springs, NY. Food and specialty coffee was excellent. Good service, very friendly and cooperative." --hmetzner, Cohoes NY

“CHAI Lovers Rejoice !”
"The.Best.Chai.Anywhere. !!!!!!!! having given up on ordering chai out anymore (after the last undrinkable, unfixable one at Villa Italia in Schen) - I thought, "ok, one more try" and I am so glad I did ! I have been back several times since, every time I am in SS for my Chai Fix. They told me to ask for a shot of Vanilla Syrup for the sweetness, not too much ! It sweetens the chai 'just enough' and rounds out the spice notes. SCT is the only establishment to make their chai from scratch and it shows ! So far, I have not tried anything else there, I am usually in a time crunch or have a shelter dog with me (for adoption) so I can't linger long. Nice place out front to people watch on a nice day though !"
--Francene B, Saratoga Springs NY

“Great Coffee, Amazing Service!”
"I love SCT! Their coffee is delicious as are their soups. I am most impressed with the attitude of SCT workers. They are pleasant, warm and welcoming. I have never encountered the elitism that is so prevalent at other local coffee establishments nor the corporate atmosphere of others. I work down the street on Broadway and SCT is always willing to deliver small orders for free. I mentioned that I was sick during my last call and SCT super-sized my tea order!" --shescalleddrio, 12306

“SCT has it All!!!”
"Just visited Saratoga Springs and found an amazing Coffeehouse there. All of their coffee and tea and cocoa is %100 fair trade and %100 organic. Never found that before.... I wish it was in my city." --goodfilmz, Westfield NJ

"Old fashioned dime candy, jars of different flavor candy cane, bagels, muffins, organic and otherwise drinks, a nice spot on Broadway, cozy and quiet. I recommend this place if you dont have loud kids or need a place to work. The employees are very nice and helpful. This is one of my favorite places to go." --Megan, Albany NY

"The greatest part about Saratoga Coffee Traders is that people think Uncommon is better.  While the bagels might not be what they are at Uncommon, any espresso drink you can think of is CHEAPER and BETTER at Coffee Traders.   Besides the amazing espresso drinks (the Americano is to die for), the workers don't have a tude like the hipsters at Uncommon.  Coffee Traders workers are extremely friendly and welcoming.  Also, unlike Uncommon, it's rarely crowded.  You can almost always find a table to sit at.  AND they have any board game imaginable at your disposable.  AND an AMAZING candy selection in the back." --Thomas C, Chestnut Hill MA
